Warm mix asphalt is paving mix that can be produced and compacted at lower temperatures than traditional hot mix asphalt materials for roadway development. This may result in reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) and asphalt emissions through lower operational temperature requirements at the plant and at the job site. PHALANX®, a specially engineered warm mix additive, is designed to improve compactability of hot asphalt mixes and Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) mixes. It helps reduce the paving temperature when laying down a roadway. PHALANX helps lower the carbon footprint, reduce energy consumption, and deliver overall cost savings.
PHALANX Warm Mix Additive Development Featured in Roads & Infrastructure Australia
Warm mix additive development has traditionally been focused on lowering mix compaction temperatures. The team at Sripath has continued to innovate the warm mix additive space with the recent launch of PHALANX®. PHALANX is a superior warm mix additive (WMA) that helps lower both production and compaction temperatures without sacrificing performance requirements. The story was recently covered in [...]
