ReLIXER

ReLIXER® is a specially formulated elixir of bio-based oils that rejuvenates aged bitumen when recycling and reusing high levels of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and/or reclaimed asphalt shingles (RAS) in mixes. Sripath’s ReLIXER is the leading asphalt rejuvenator or recycling agent on the market – trusted by customers worldwide and backed by peerless technical support from our in-country agent network. An asphalt rejuvenator is an additive that can restore the functional properties of aged asphalt binder, also known as bitumen. While the benefits of high-RAP mixes are many, there are physical limitations to using large amounts of RAP. Adding an asphalt rejuvenator can restore functional performance of aged asphalt and allow for higher RAP usage, up to 100% in some cases.

How Different Bitumen Additives Unlock the Value of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement

In the past, the road construction industry viewed old, torn-up highways as a necessary waste material destined for low-grade applications or forgotten stockpiles. Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is no longer seen as waste. Instead, it is recognized as a high-performance input.     However, transitioning from raw waste to premium infrastructure requires a crucial catalyst in different types of bitumen additives. The industry narrative has fundamentally shifted with the development of effective asphalt rejuvenation technology.  [...]

What Are Asphalt Performance Enhancers?

Road networks are under more pressure than ever. Heavier traffic loads, rising temperature extremes, tighter environmental regulations, and increased expectations for service life are all reshaping how pavements are designed and maintained.     In response, the industry has increasingly turned to asphalt performance enhancers: a broad category of asphalt additives designed to improve pavement performance, extend asphalt durability, and enable more resilient, [...]

Technical Specifications for Asphalt Rejuvenation

By incorporating reclaimed asphalt and recycled asphalt materials into new mixtures, producers can reduce reliance on virgin materials, lower costs, and support circular economy initiatives. However, higher reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) content introduces new performance challenges that must be carefully managed to ensure long-term pavement durability.    The primary challenge stems from the aged binder contained within reclaimed asphalt pavement. Over time, asphalt [...]

Sustainable Bitumen Additives to Extend Asphalt Lifespan

Sustainability may be one of the defining priorities in pavement and roofing construction. Governments, producers, contractors, and asset owners are all under pressure to reduce emissions, conserve resources, and improve the long-term environmental performance of infrastructure. However, one misconception still persists throughout the industry: that sustainable solutions require sacrificing cost, durability, or long-term performance.    Advances in asphalt chemistry are proving the opposite. Sustainable bitumen additives are helping producers create [...]
