The National Safety Council hosts National Safety Month in the United States with campaigns including #GoGreenForSafety

Every June, organizations across the United States recognize National Safety Month, an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness about workplace safety, injury prevention, and safe practices both on and off the jobsite. The initiative was founded by the National Safety Council in 1996 to encourage employers and workers to make safety a year-round priority. Since then, National Safety Month has become an important reminder that proactive safety measures save lives, reduce injuries, and strengthen workplace culture across industries.

Safety is especially critical in the asphalt industry, where crews routinely work around heavy machinery, high temperatures, moving traffic, and complex production environments. Asphalt paving and manufacturing professionals face risks that include transportation incidents, equipment-related injuries, heat exposure, and material handling hazards. Maintaining safe worksites and production facilities requires ongoing training, clear communication, proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Safety is embedded into every stage of product development, manufacturing, and customer support across the Sripath Group of Companies. The company's Health and Safety Policy emphasizes that all employees, contractors, and partners share responsibility for maintaining safe working conditions and preventing accidents. Sripath supports this commitment through employee training, hazard awareness, incident investigation procedures, and continuous evaluation of workplace safety practices. The company also focuses on developing products that are safer to handle and environmentally responsible, including technologies designed with low-to-no volatile organic compound (VOC) formulations whenever possible.

National Safety Month also highlights the importance of collaboration across the asphalt supply chain. Every role including asphalt plants, laboratories, paving crews, and transportation teams contributes to safer roads and safer operations. Industry organizations continue to emphasize best practices related to exposure reduction, traffic control, emissions management, and equipment safety to protect workers throughout the paving process.

For Sripath, supporting safety goes beyond compliance. It is part of delivering reliable products, building trusted partnerships, and helping customers create safer, longer-lasting paving and roofing solutions. National Safety Month serves as an important opportunity to recognize the professionals who prioritize safety every day and to reinforce the industry-wide commitment to protecting workers, communities, and infrastructure for the future.
