For the 2025 SCCA B-Spec National championship race series, the #12 Introne Racing team will be debuting a new “Fit” for the season under the Sripath Technologies livery. Over the winter, the team designed and engineered a 2013 Honda Fit into a brand new purpose-built competition race car for this year’s season.

Sporting a customized winter-camo backdrop, with metallic red sponsor graphics and numbers, the new Honda Fit has a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that joins the other FWD, B-Segment (subcompact, small economy cars) with moderate power-to-weight ratios. This spec-series allows limited modifications to the powertrain, making the series a true driver-based competition. Compared to the team’s previous National Championship winning Mini Cooper, the Fit offers greater straight-line speeds, giving it an edge at high-speed tracks like Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park, and Road America, where this year’s National Championship Runoffs will be held in September.

Last week, Steve Introne debuted the new Sripath #12 Honda Fit at Pittsburgh International Raceway for the Cumberland Classic Majors, taking home two first place finishes. Next up on the 2025 schedule will be events at both Watkins Glen and Lime Rock Park.

“Building the new car was a big challenge this off-season,” Steve Introne explained. “Early testing has already shown a lot of promise. It definitely has a lot more straight-line speed than the Mini. Where the Mini can corner better with its lower profile, the Fit has greater body roll, which requires me to adapt my driving style. Since the goal is to win another Championship, this is the car that will hopefully take us back to the podium at a track like Road America.”

The Introne Racing team will continue to run the Sripath #11 Mini Cooper, piloted by Zach Introne, as well this season. He returns home from his freshman year at Michigan State University shortly, and will begin competing at the May events.

Stay tuned for all the highlights from this exciting 2025 schedule of events. The new car will bring new challenges, but hopefully many new wins and accomplishments with it.
