Overall mix cost is a critical component when designing a balanced mix that also meets performance and sustainability requirements. Importantly, high-RAP mixes have been shown to demonstrate cost savings in research conducted by the National Asphalt Pavement Association. According to NAPA data, using RAP has already resulted in $3.4 billion in savings on material costs and another $5.3 billion in landfill disposal fees.

Adding a rejuvenator, which enables high-RAP usage, typically results in lowered overall costs. While actual costs will depend on the final mix details and raw material costs, most contractors report savings of 5-15 % in high-RAP mixes with ReLIXER, compared to their mixes made with lower RAP content of only 15 to 20%.
