Sripath is proud to support UK National Highways as they bring attention to building more sustainable roadways during NH Carbon Week. The third-annual, week-long occurrence is designed to highlight the National Highways’ efforts toward achieving net zero carbon roadways.

Sripath recently participated in a high-RAP roadway resurfacing trial of Highway A21 with UK National Highways. The trial was designed to test and compare high-RAP mixes dosed with ReLIXER® to high-RAP mixes with no ReLIXER and mixes with no RAP.

Using high-RAP mixes dosed with ReLIXER, an asphalt rejuvenator, has been shown to reduce the need for virgin bitumen and fresh aggregates while delivering roadways with desired performance and durability. ReLIXER, a blend of green bio-based oils with a total Global Warming Potential (GWP) of -1.677, helps reduce the overall carbon footprint of the roadway.

NH Carbon Week draws critical attention to the increasingly important topic of sustainability within the paving industry. As National Highways continues to explore means for reducing carbon in asphalt projects, Sripath is ready to help by providing sustainable products and solutions for high-performing roadways.
