Diversity and inclusion efforts continue to remain critical to equitable and successful business operations across the paving industry. Roads and Infrastructure Australia highlighted viewpoints on the topic from leaders across the industry in its March 2022 issue. Deepak Madan, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer for Sripath, was asked to share his thoughts on how the industry can encourage more diversity.
Diversity should be a foundational component of business operations for companies across industries. For Sripath, which belongs to a global group of companies, inclusivity has been part of its structure from the beginning. Contributors from all walks of life are welcomed into the Sripath family with open arms and provided with the tools and resources to succeed in their individual roles. “Our team members and the experts we engage hail from a diverse set of backgrounds, cultures, religions, ethnicity, and preferences,” explained Madan.
Sripath’s leadership believes that this diverse approach to staffing helps drive its innovation. “One of our core competencies is to foster this diversity and channel our expertise and talent to nurture an organization that is innovative, customer-centric, and forward thinking,” Madan elaborated. “This allows us to deliver innovative product, outstanding customer service and excellent technical support to our customers.”
While others in the Road Review feature noted that diversity and inclusion are not automatic but rather need to be intentionally cultivated, Madan shared that diversity has always been “an integral part of our organization’s DNA.” With operations spanning the globe, Sripath’s group of affiliates includes Sripath Technologies (USA), Sripath Innovations (UK), Sripath Asia-Pac (Australia), and Bitpath (India). “Each of our businesses benefits from our diverse perspectives and our collective insight into the global bitumen industry,” said Madan.
