ReLIXER

ReLIXER® is a specially formulated elixir of bio-based oils that rejuvenates aged bitumen when recycling and reusing high levels of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and/or reclaimed asphalt shingles (RAS) in mixes. Sripath’s ReLIXER is the leading asphalt rejuvenator or recycling agent on the market – trusted by customers worldwide and backed by peerless technical support from our in-country agent network. An asphalt rejuvenator is an additive that can restore the functional properties of aged asphalt binder, also known as bitumen. While the benefits of high-RAP mixes are many, there are physical limitations to using large amounts of RAP. Adding an asphalt rejuvenator can restore functional performance of aged asphalt and allow for higher RAP usage, up to 100% in some cases.

High-RAP Mixes at Scale with an Asphalt Rejuvenator

Asphalt is the most recycled material in the United States according to the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), amounting to nearly 97 million tons of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP). As a result, over 90% of new roadway surfaces in the U.S. are built using RAP. This trend is spreading globally as more contractors and transportation agencies explore the [...]

Asphalt Rejuvenation and More Sustainable Roadway Surfaces

Demand for sustainable roadway solutions continues to grow as transportation agencies work to address both performance specifications and carbon emission standards. One technology rising in global popularity is the use of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) along with an asphalt rejuvenator. Asphalt rejuvenation helps to restore the functional properties of the aged binder in RAP, enabling higher percentages of [...]

Reducing Variability in RAP Mixes During Plant Production

Asphalt producers are increasingly relying on reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) to meet environmental goals and cost-efficiency targets. Using RAP can allow aggregate and aged binder to be reused, reducing the need for virgin materials and lowering overall material costs. However, one key challenge that working with RAP poses to plant operators and mix engineers is variability.     When [...]
