ReLIXER

ReLIXER® is a specially formulated elixir of bio-based oils that rejuvenates aged bitumen when recycling and reusing high levels of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and/or reclaimed asphalt shingles (RAS) in mixes. Sripath’s ReLIXER is the leading asphalt rejuvenator or recycling agent on the market – trusted by customers worldwide and backed by peerless technical support from our in-country agent network. An asphalt rejuvenator is an additive that can restore the functional properties of aged asphalt binder, also known as bitumen. While the benefits of high-RAP mixes are many, there are physical limitations to using large amounts of RAP. Adding an asphalt rejuvenator can restore functional performance of aged asphalt and allow for higher RAP usage, up to 100% in some cases.

Video: Can the Use of High-RAP Mixes with an Effective Rejuvenator Save Costs?

TRANSCRIPT FROM VIDEO: Overall mix cost is a critical component when designing a balanced mix that also meets performance and sustainability requirements. Importantly, high-RAP mixes have been shown to demonstrate cost savings in research conducted by the National Asphalt Pavement Association. According to NAPA data, using RAP has already resulted in $3.4 billion in savings on material [...]

Video: How Do High-RAP Mixes Dosed with Rejuvenators Age?

TRANSCRIPT FROM VIDEO: Balanced mix design that incorporates Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement dosed with a rejuvenator should consider adherence to performance properties both now and many years after wear and weathering. Testing should include an evaluation of how the aging process impacts these mixes to ensure durability and long-term performance.   Simulated aging tests for measures of the Cracking [...]
