At the conclusion of the 2024 season, the Sripath Technologies #11 and #12 Mini Coopers finished the season with Steve Introne claiming the 2024 NERRC B-Spec Season Championship, and his son, Zach, in his first year competing, finishing 8th out of 17 drivers.

After claiming the National Championship in 2022, the Introne Racing team’s goals for the 2024 season were to expand from a one-car to a two-car team by bringing in and developing the younger 17-year-old driver. Focusing on the regional and divisional race series this year allowed the two-car team to develop this novice driver in order to prepare him to join Steve in the 2025 season for another run at the national series and title.

Highlights from this year include:

#12 Steve Introne

  • 1st Place “Champion” – New England Road Racing Regional Championship
  • 2-time – Northeast Conference Majors Winner
  • 11-time – 1st place finisher
  • 3-time – 2nd place finisher

#11 Zach Introne

  • First podium finish – 3rd place – New Hampshire Motor Speedway
  • 8th Place – New England Road Racing Regional Championship

Together, the #11 and #12 competed in 29 races at 4 different tracks throughout the Northeast. The personal highlight for this father-son team was the July event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway where both men finished on the podium together. Dad was on the top step with the 1st place checkered flag and his son joined him there in the celebration with a 3rd place finish. Additionally, Steve’s daughter, Izzy Introne, drove the #11 at two MassTuning TrackFest events at Thompson Speedway this year as well.

“I didn’t start racing until I was in my 30’s,” explained Steve. “The talent I see in Zach, and the opportunity he has to begin honing his racecraft at this young age, means we can expect to see great things from him in the coming years. I fully expect him to surpass my accomplishments.”

Planning for the 2025 season is already underway. With the younger Introne now studying at Michigan State University in East Lansing, the potential for races in the central/midwest region of the United States are being considered.

“As always, we want to thank Sripath and all our partners for their support this season. Our ability to grow is because of their continued participation with our program,” Steve concluded. “The plans for 2025 are going to be exciting, stay tuned!”
