Over time, roads age. Sun, heat, ice, rain, and heavy traffic eventually lead to rutting, cracking and dangerous potholes. Building new roads starts with removing the old pavement. This removed material is called RAP. Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement. Historically, it was hauled away and left in landfills creating mountains of old crushed pavement. But, is this pavement dead?
