The Sripath Group of Companies is pleased to welcome Dr. Atakan Aksoy as a technical consultant and regional contact for customers and partners based in Turkey. As a member of the Sripath Innovations team, Dr. Aksoy’s expertise will support operations and business in increasingly growing region of interest in the asphalt and bitumen industry.
Dr. Aksoy is currently a faculty member in the Transportation Branch of the Civil Engineering Department of Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) where he conducts research in transportation engineering. He has over 30 years of industry experience as a renowned speaker and researcher, and he has been published in a number of national and international papers. His areas of research include, but are not limited to, engineering, materials science, transportation science and technology, materials science characterization and testing, materials science composites, engineering computing and technology (Eng), and civil engineering.
Dr. Aksoy is also an active practitioner and consultant. He serves as a panel member for TUBITAK (the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) and as an international journal reviewer. He has implemented projects for KTU, TUBITAK, and the Development Agency. Dr. Aksoy also focuses on recycling, a prominent issue within the context of renewed specifications in Turkey. In line with its sustainability goals, he carries out R&D activities on Turkey’s asphalt recycling issues and innovative applications.
