Sripath Technologies' innovative approach to polymer modified bitumen (PMB) crosslinking and pavement performance has been highlighted in the December 2025 issue of Roads & Infrastructure Australia. ButaPhalt effectively optimizes sulfur's crosslinking capabilities while mitigating its drawbacks. When compared to traditional sulfur-based systems, ButaPhalt significantly reduced cumulative H₂S emissions, from over 1,200 ppm to just 430 ppm during production. Further testing indicated faster reaction kinetics, enabling PMB blends to reach target performance specifications more efficiently in support of higher productivity and potentially lower manufacturing costs.
