Sripath Technology Sponsors SCCA B-Spec Road Racer
The Sports Car Club of America is the world’s largest amateur sports car racing organization, with over 67,000 members. This week is its crown jewel event of the year, the annual “Runoffs”, where the top road racers in the country meet for a winner-takes-all, head-to-head, 40-minute shootout race to claim the National Championship title.
Sripath Technologies is excited to announce its sponsorship of Steve Introne and his #12 2010 Mini Cooper. A twenty-year veteran of road racing, Steve moved into the B-Spec class last year and immediately made a name for himself. For 2021, he finished in 3rd place in his first Runoffs appearance in B-Spec at the hallowed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Back for more this year, Steve and his team are at Virginia International Raceway. After a week of practice and qualifying, Steve earned the Tire Rack Pole Winner award with the fastest qualifying time, giving him the #1 spot on the grid for the Saturday afternoon race for the title.
Fans and race enthusiasts are encouraged to watch the race LIVE online at scca.com/LIVE, as the Sripath Technologies sponsored car will brave the weather and the remnants of Hurricane Ian for its chance to return to the podium. Each of the 26 championship races will take place Friday, Sept. 30, through Sunday, Oct. 2, and be broadcast on SCCA.com and through SCCA’s official social media channels, including YouTube and Facebook. In the booth, fans will hear the voices of Greg Creamer, John Fippin, Larry “Lefty” MacLeod, and Tom O’Gorman, with Heyward Wagner wandering pit lane and capturing the emotion of triumphs and near misses.
